Introduction
Founded in 1998, Norwest Foods International Ltd. set its ambitions high with the desire to become a market leader in the import and export of fresh and frozen meat. Whilst our initial trading activity focused on trade between the UK and the EU, this approach combined with our reputation, experience, and reliability, has allowed us to build a strong and reputable presence trading across all continents. We pride ourselves on our reputation as a trusted trading partner which is evident given our continuous international growth.
Our head office, based in Knutsford, United Kingdom, controls all administrative elements of the company whilst providing a base for our UK commercial team. In addition, given the importance of our international business, we also have commercial representation in Ireland, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Morocco, Asia and South America.
Throughout our history we have seen continued growth and success, a result of the constant evolution and improvement of the services we can offer. This is made possible by utilising the skillsets of a strong and passionate team of individuals across our commercial, technical, logistics and finance departments.

Our Journey So Far
1998
NORWEST FOODS INTERNATIONAL IS FOUNDED
Norwest Foods was established with an office in UK and Ireland. The core activity was procurement from the EU and Ireland for sale throughout the UK and EU.
2003
NORWEST FOODS INTERNATIONAL OPEN POLAND
Located in Warsaw as a reaction to Poland entering the EU, enabling sales and procurement in Eastern Europe.
2005
NORWEST FOODS OPENS AN OFFICE IN SPAIN
Norwest Spain was established to increase the supply of Spanish pork for sale throughout the UK and Europe.
2011
NORWEST FOODS INTERNATIONAL OPEN IN CHINA
The company expanded sales into Asia allowing further growth focused on EU supply.
2014
NORWEST FOODS INTERNATIONAL OPEN IN CHINA
The company expanded sales into Asia allowing further growth focused on EU supply.
2017
NORWEST FOODS INTERNATIONAL OPEN IN ROMANIA
Strong EU growth enabled us to open Romania adding further supply and sales in East Europe
2018
NORWEST FOODS INTERNATIONAL OPEN POLAND
Establishing Morocco assisted in bringing together trading links across the EU and W. Africa.
2021
NORWEST FOODS INTERNATIONAL - HQ
Due to rapid growth, we increased and renovated our head office space in 2021. Providing a fantastic working environment for our UK employees
2023
NORWEST FOODS INTERNATIONAL OPEN ARGENTINA
Norwest Argentina is established to assist in handling the increased business in South America.

NORWEST FOODS INTERNATIONAL OPEN EGYPT
Norwest Foods open in Egypt with a view to grow trade in Africa and the Middle East on meat, fish and seafood products.

Through the hard work of our team, we were able to set another record year of trading by surpassing £200m in revenue.

NORWEST FOODS INTERNATIONAL OPEN BRAZIL
In 2024, Norwest Foods continued their growth by opening an Brazil office bringing expertise and support for our Brazil business
